UN women's special representative: Every person you meet in Gaza has a horrific story
'One million women and girls have lost their dignity, their homes, their families, their memories'
RAMALLAH - The United Nations (UN) Women’s Special Representative for Palestine, Maryse Guimond, said that entire families were killed in the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
"Every person you see in Gaza has a horrific story,” Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported.
"More than 10,000 women lost their lives; (and) more than 6,000 families lost their mothers,” she said on X.
"One million women and girls have lost their dignity, their homes, their families, their memories,” she said following a recent visit to the war-torn Strip.
"You can see destruction everywhere in Gaza,” she said.
Guimond said during her visit to the Strip, she saw vast areas of tents for displaced persons, while some chose to live in devastated buildings amid the struggle to access food and water. - BERNAMA-WAFA
