Zayn Rayyan's parents leave court

PETALING JAYA - The parents of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin were seen leaving the Petaling Jaya Court Complex here after posting bail on Thursday.

The couple was seen leaving in a white Perodua Myvi at 12.47pm.

No comments were given to reporters due to the court-issued gag order.

On Thursday, Zayn Rayyan’s parents pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here to a charge of neglecting the six-year-old autistic child in December last year.

On Dec 6, 2023, Zayn Rayyan, 6, was found dead in a river near the Idaman Apartment area, Damansara Damai, at 10pm.

The victim's body was discovered by a group of residents conducting a search operation.

The victim had previously been reported missing in the residential area before being found lying in the stream, about 200 metres from his residential block.
