KUALA LUMPUR - Police are investigating a viral video of two individuals riding an electric scooter along Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Chief Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said that the video came to their attention on Monday.

"Preliminary investigations found that the couple's actions of riding an electric scooter on a public road could pose a danger to themselves and other road users.

"So far, no police reports have been received from any party or witness to confirm the exact date and time of the incident," he told Sinar.

Authorities are still working to identify the individuals involved.

The investigation is ongoing, and the case is classified under Section 3(1) of Public Service Regulations (Amendment) 453/2021.
