Zayn Rayyan’s mother taken to location where body was found

PETALING JAYA - The mother of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin was seen being taken from her residence in Damansara Damai to the location where the child's body was found, about 200 metres from the apartment building.
The suspect was seen escorted and tightly guarded by police officers at 11.06am, heading towards the river where Zayn Rayyan's body was found on the night of Dec 6, last year.
The woman, clad in lockup attire, was seen keeping her head down as she was brought down by a group of officers and police personnel from the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters.
Previously, the mother of the child was taken to their residence in block R, Idaman Apartment, Damansara Damai, believed to reenact the incident.
Sinar reporters at the scene observed that the couple arrived at approximately 10.15am in a white van heading to block R of the residence.
It is understood that the suspect would be taken back to the residence and the location where the child was found to reenact the incident.
However, the media were not allowed to be in the housing area and could only remain in front of the apartment.
Previously, the police confirmed that the victim was believed to have been murdered, following the autopsy results which found injuries on the neck and body of the child related to criminal acts.
The body of Zayn Rayyan was found at 9.50pm on Dec 6 when the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD), together with the residents of Idaman Apartment, Damansara Damai, were conducting search and rescue operations at 8.30pm before his body was discovered over an hour later.
