Wan Saiful's wife battles stage four colon cancer
MP seeks prayers for wife's recovery amidst critical illness.
SHAH ALAM - Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan has disclosed that his wife is suffering from stage four colon cancer and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur.
In a 1 minute and 35 seconds video posted on Facebook, Wan Saiful shared that his wife's condition is critical as the cancer has spread to multiple organs.
"My wife has been battling colon cancer and undergoing chemotherapy since 2020.
"It has now reached stage four and has spread to several other parts of her body.
"Her situation in the hospital is quite critical," he said.
Wan Saiful added that the situation is particularly heartbreaking for their 10-year-old and 12-year-old children, who are witnessing their mother's struggle.
He said that he is commuting between Penang and Kuala Lumpur to care for his wife, describing the ordeal as a significant challenge.
"In fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to me by the people, I have faced many challenges, whether in the political arena, public welfare, or family matters.
"Therefore, I request all friends, acquaintances, and colleagues to pray for my wife's recovery and to give me the strength to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to me by the people," he said.
