SHAH ALAM - Internet personality and nephrologist Dr Rafidah Abdullah expressed her frustration on her Instagram (@rafidah72) posts with three consecutive posts, particularly on the fate of Malaysia's medical fraternity especially on resignation of doctors in governmental hospitals to work in private facilities or migrate overseas.

She did not hold back dubbing the situation as "6 JAHANAM", better known as six hells - directing it to the government's failure to "fix" the current system enabling this.

Upon shedding light on the oppression of the good doctors in Malaysia who demand rightful salaries and workload, she said, "Not that many are opposing us, only slight of them. But these are the people overwhelmed by their ego, power, and especially the greed for money.

"These people are the ones I view as the head of evil (Dajjal).

"Six hells I can note, shortage of experts and skills from skilled doctors but parallel pathways are completely shut down. Second, many medical officers (MO) have resigned but parallel pathways are closed.

"Third, specialists cannot register, and the issue is abandoned while existing policies and laws are not going to be improved.

"Specialist training is done in KKM (Health Ministry), but KKM is questioned by MQA(Malaysian Qualifications Agency), through lawsuit.

"Work ethics and morals are very low.

Mourning the departure of local doctors to hospitals overseas, she expressed in another post about praying for their well-being and prosperity. "Let us never say that they are forgetting their roots, it is rather the government who does not know how to appreciate their presence.

"They are being recognised in their expertise overseas, meanwhile, their expertise here is seen as illegal.

"There are still not enough nurses, HO, MO, yet the existing ones are leaving," she said while reminding about the shortages of local skilled workers.

She also pointed out that people have wished to see this moment, when "unwanted" doctors were leaving.

Dr Rafidah stated that she certain that these "people" responsible for the situation would be exposed soon.

In her third post, she expressed guilt for failing to carry out her responsibility of maintaining quality service in the local medical industry.

"I have failed to persuade the local workers to stay here and therefore did not do my job. We still face low salaries, while the workload exceeds the supposed amount.

"But, when not appreciated, then that is a probelm. We become labelled as illegal and impose absurd conditions.

"Brain drain is real, many people are leaving us now, and we are accompanying them with nothing but our prayers," she said while conveying the unfortunate condition affecting many local doctors today, including herself, where the convenience is also being lifted from them through the departure of existing doctors, making things worse for local workers.

Rafidah's second post, entitling it with "DEPARTURE."

She reminded them that the six hells imposed on them by the greedy systems and authorities were the reason their ruined future including that of Malaysians as a whole - namely the patients.

"They have betrayed the country. Many are asking who these people are, but worry not, they will be revealed, because even the biggest perpetrator is hiding and being a coward right now.

"The Dajjal incarnate humans, the #6Jahanam, have destroyed the future of the Malaysian people. They are the traitors of the nation.

"Many are asking who they are... Don't worry, they will expose their own disgrace. The biggest mastermind is still hiding, a coward," she said.

The challenging conditions for Malaysian doctors, particularly those related to long working hours, high patient loads, and limited career progression, have been evolving over several years, due to policies such as the introduction of the contract system in 2016, which has led to public protests such as Hartal Doktor Kontrak (Contract Doctors' Strike) back in 2021 to 2022, which garnered national and international attention.
