IGP heads to Johor following Ulu Tiram attack
IGP leads investigation team to Ulu Tiram following deadly attack.
KUALA LUMPUR - Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has departed for Johor Bahru to gather details on the attack at the Ulu Tiram police station on Friday.
Speaking to Sinar, the top cop confirmed that he, along with an investigation team from Bukit Aman, left for Johor Bahru at 9.39am this morning to assess the situation at the scene.
A press conference concerning the incident is expected to be held by the Johor Chief Police.
Earlier reports indicated that two police officers were killed in the attack.
Another officer was seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment at the Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI).
The suspect was reportedly neutralised during the incident.
Police are also investigating the motive behind the attack including checking if the attacker was of unsound mind.
