SHAH ALAM – Footage of a Tesla driver purposely ramming a motorcyclist circulates on social media, which allegedly took place at Sprint Highway on Monday.

The dashcam video lasting 18 seconds has gained widespread attention on X, showing the motorcyclist swerving to the side of the road as a red Tesla entered the lane with their signal on.

Frustrated, the motorcyclist smacked the Tesla’s side mirror which led the car driver to retaliate aggressively by ramming into the motorcyclist, causing them to slam against a divider and fall onto the road.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department deputy chief Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said the incident occurred at 8.30am when the motorcyclist was riding in the right lane of the highway.

He said the Tesla suddenly changed lanes from the middle lane to the right lane, causing the motorcyclist to be pushed to the right side of the road.

"The 25-year-old male motorcyclist then hit the right side mirror of the car with his hand.

"As a result of the incident, the Tesla driver then hit the motorcyclist causing him to fall," he said on Tuesday.

As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist suffered injuries to his hand, knee, and leg.
