KUALA LUMPUR - While encouraging Umno to utilise appropriate social media platforms, its president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi takes a jab at former party Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin for his involvement on podcasts.

Zahid said that the podcast series was not the right platform for Khairy, who was also the former health minister, to voice his opinions.

“Use the right platforms such as TikTok and Facebook to reach out to the public in adapting the political environment for Umno, not like some who use platforms like Keluar Sekejap (out for a while) or might I say, out forever,” he said during his speech at the Pakatan Harapan (PH) operation centre, here.

Whilst waiting for the official result of the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election, Zahid addressed the people, discussing Umno's aspirations, challenges and the need for change in the future, advocating for the championing of people's sentiments and narratives.

At press time, PH’s candidate Pang Sock Tao is leading the four-cornered fight, followed Perikatan Nasional’s Khairul Azhari Saut, independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin and Parti Rakyat Malaysia’s Hafizah Zainuddin.
