SHAH ALAM - Unofficial reports indicate a surge in support for the Unity Government coalition among early police voters in the Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) by-election.

In the lead-up to the KKB by-election, preliminary reports suggest a notable shift in support towards the rulling coalition, particularly among early police voters.

Unofficial figures reveal that Pakatan Harapan (PH) has gained significant ground, securing 249 early police ballots compared to Perikatan Nasional's (PN) 47 votes.

The competition appears similarly tight in the military vote, with PH reportedly receiving 84 votes while PN garnered 71.

Overall, PH is said to have amassed a total of 592 early votes, considerably surpassing PN's reported tally of 156 votes.

One vote each was cast for the Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) and an independent candidate.

Official results are eagerly anticipated as the electoral landscape continues to unfold in Kuala Kubu Baharu.

The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election, which saw a four-cornered contest, was held following the passing of its incumbent, Kee Hiong, 58, on March 21 due to cancer.
