HULU SELANGOR - Perikatan Nasional candidate for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election Khairul Azhari Saut urges voters to come early to vote while the weather is good.

He said this after seeing a good turnout during his visit to Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Batang Kali to monitor the voting process this morning.

“Many people came early to vote this morning, I hope people continue to come early to avoid any future shortcomings such as bad weather that might cause them difficulties to come here and do their duty,” he said.

The candidate involved in a four-cornered fight with Pakatan Harapan’s Pang Sock Tao, Parti Rakyat Malaysia’s Hafizah Zainuddin and independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin, said that it was still too early to give any conclusion about today’s voting since it had only been over hour since the polling stations opened.

“It is still too early to give any other comments since it has not been an hour since the polling station opened, but I’m thankful to see that many people came to vote.

“As a candidate, my hope would definitely be to win the upcoming election, where I’m confident can be done within these last two weeks.

“We hope to get good news for Perikatan Nasional,” he added.

The Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election was held to fill up the vacancy following the death of DAP’s Lee Kee Hiong on March 21 due to cancer.
