HULU SELANGOR - After controversy about his academic status, Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate for Kuala Kubu Baharu state assembly by-election Khairul Azhari Saut faced allegations involving community credit services.

However, the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Hulu Selangor acting chief refused to elaborate in regards to the issue when asked by reporters after the ‘Ceramah Perdana PN’ Lecture in Batang Kali on Wednesday night.

He said he needed to be at another location even though campaigning hours ends at midnight.

"No comment, thank you. I need to go to another location," he said briefly when asked to elaborate.

Before this, a post on social media that questioned the credibility of the Felda Tengi born KKB's PN candidate who was alleged to still face debt at an amount of RM37,363 with a service provider company went viral.

Since the nomination day of the by-election on April 27, Khairul Azhari faced controversy when various parties questioned the eligibility of his master's degree without having a bachelor's degree.

As a result, he uploaded a certificate and transcript of the Executive Master of Business Management degree from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) via a Facebook post.

It had ended the dispute from many parties besides informing that he refused to comment further as he wanted to focus on the KKB by-election campaign.
