Man killed by machetes and taser gun in Kapar: What we know so far
Four armed individuals were seen entering the residence.
SHAH ALAM – Recently, a tragic event took place in Klang, when a 38-year-old businessman was found dead in his home in Taman Jaya, Kapar, leading to a homicide investigation that has gripped the local community.
The victim, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was found lying face down in front of his bedroom, with visible injuries to various parts of his body, including his head, legs, shoulder and right hand last Thursday.
Klang Utara Police Chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao said that initial findings from the investigation reveal CCTV footage captured the moment when four armed individuals, allegedly equipped with machetes and taser guns entered the residence.
"CCTV footage reveals that four unidentified individuals entered the victim's residence wielding parangs and a taser gun.
“Meanwhile, another accomplice remained stationed in a red Myvi car with an unidentified license plate number," he stated.
His family comprising his wife and child were said to be in the house when the tragedy struck.
Police said no weapons associated with the incident have been recovered thus far and investigations were carried out under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Statements from the victim's wife and child had been recorded to assist the investigation.
The motive behind the heinous crime appeared to stem from a vendetta, with police suspecting revenge as the driving force.
Police had since arrested two local men aged 25 and 29 to help in the ongoing investigation.
The first suspect has been remanded for seven days, while a request for remand for the second individual is slated today.
Vijaya said the police authorities remain steadfast in their search for identifying and apprehending any additional suspects implicated in the case.
"Public with any additional information can channel it to the nearby police station for further action," he said.
