Woman nabbed after wheeling a corpse into bank to co-sign loan
Nunes dismisses the concerns saying that her uncle always seemed pale and inactive.
SHAH ALAM - A Brazilian woman has been arrested after wheeling a fresh corpse into a bank to help her secure a loan.
The bizarre scene took place when Érika de Souza Vieira Nunes, 42, pushed the lifeless body of Roberto Braga, 68 into a bank branch in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday.
"Uncle, are you listening? You need to sign the loan contract.
"If you don't sign, there's no way because I can't sign for you. Sign so you don't give me any more headaches, I can't take it anymore," she said while placing a pen between his fingers.
A bank worker who was recording the video says "He does not look... indeed he is not well. He looks pale."
However, Nunes dismisses the concerns saying that her uncle always seemed pale and inactive.
"He is like that, he doesn't say anything," she said.
The employers at the bank became suspicious of the actions and called the police.
According to reports, paramedics confirmed that Braga had been dead for several hours before getting brought into the bank.
It is believed that the police are probing the circumstances of Braga's death and whether the woman is related to him.
