He would be placed under special monitoring by the hospital for five or six days following the surgery.
CYBERJAYA - The personal bodyguard who was shot in the incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 underwent intestinal surgery at Cyberjaya Hospital on Tuesday.
His wife, Siti Noraida Hassan, 38, said her husband, Muhammad Nur Hadith Zaini, 37, also known as Along’s surgery lasted for five hours.
She said her husband would be placed under special monitoring by the hospital for five or six days following the surgery.
"My husband's condition is somewhat stable at the moment. However, he is still under sedation.
"I am very grateful for the latest developments in my husband's condition.
"Please pray for my husband's full recovery. Thank you to everyone for the prayers offered to him," she told Sinar on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Noraida said she was informed that her husband's kidneys may need to undergo dialysis for a temporary period.
Additionally, she said that her husband's spleen suffered minor injuries due to the gunshot.
"I request prayers from everyone so that the injuries can recover on their own and my husband can return to good health as usual," she added.
On Sunday, a man recklessly fired shots at his wife before hitting Hadith in the 1.15am incident.
