CYBERJAYA - Muhammad Nur Hadith Zaini, 37, the personal bodyguard who was shot in an incident at the Arrival Hall of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1, has been taken to the operation room at Hospital Cyberjaya for surgery at 11.30am on Tuesday.

His wife Siti Noraida Hassan, 38, who had been at the hospital since morning said this while waiting for her husband's surgery to be completed.

Noraida, a mother of three, said she hoped that the public would join her in praying for the success and smooth progress of the surgery.

"My husband went into the operation room at 11.30am. I have been at the hospital since 8am.

"Please pray for us all, pray that the surgery goes smoothly," she told Sinar.

On Sunday, a man had recklessly fired shots at his wife before hitting Hadith in an incident around 1.15am.

Hadith sustained injuries to the abdomen and reported to be in stable condition.

It is understood that the surgery performed by the hospital was to assess the condition of Hadith's other organs, including the kidneys.
