KOTA BHARU - The police are considering the possibility that the suspect involved in the shooting incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 Arrival Hall two days ago may have been attempting to flee to Mecca via Thailand.

However, Federal Police Criminal Investigation Department Director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said that the matter is still under investigation.

"This follows the discovery of a sum of cash in Riyal and Baht currency in the suspect's possession.

"The suspect also underwent a health check-up at a private hospital here," he informed during a press conference at the Kelantan Police Headquarters here today.

Shuhaily noted that the suspect is believed to have undergone a medical examination before the incident took place.

He further revealed that the police arrested the suspect after leaving the hospital to obtain a health report.
