Grab Malaysia and partners distribute over 2,500 Bubur Lambuk to local communities

The aim is to embody the values of compassion, generosity and community spirit that are central to the month of Ramadan.

SHAH ALAM – In the spirit of Ramadan, a collaborative effort brought a heartfelt mission of distributing bubur lambuk to over 2,500 individuals across three states in the East Coast region of Malaysia.

The Grab Malaysia team, along with its community of driver- and delivery-partners collaborated with local mosques and a hospital for this initiative.

The aim is to embody the values of compassion, generosity and community spirit that are central to the month of Ramadan.

Grab Malaysia, Country Operations and Mobility Director, Rashid Shukor said this initiative embodies the true essence of Ramadan, in which people come together as a community to support one another.

“During this time, we not only salute the dedicated and tireless efforts of our partners but also extend our appreciation to the consumers.

“Every order or ride made symbolises a meaningful step towards fostering solidarity within our community. It is through such acts of kindness that we strengthen the bonds of compassion and unity within our society,” he said.

He stressed that Grab would continue to ensure that no community is left behind, striving for positive social impact among the underserved and marginalised.

The distribution which was carried out across Terengganu, Kelantan and Pahang was made possible through collaborative efforts with partners including Masjid Saidina Othman Bukit Rangin Kuantan, Masjid Abidin @ Masjid Puteh Kuala Terengganu and Hospital USM Kelantan, Kota Bharu.

The collaborative effort saw the participation of driver- and delivery-partners, Grab’s team, and mosque representatives on-site to assist in the preparation, packaging, and distribution of the bubur lambuk to those in need within the community

"We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners and volunteers who were instrumental in helping us successfully distribute the bubur lambuk,” he added.

He said together, they have demonstrated the power of collective action in spreading joy and kindness during the holy month of Ramadan.
