SHAH ALAM - Police have apprehended a 26-year-old part-time model on suspicion of murdering her boyfriend, allegedly due to jealousy and cheating.

The incident, in which the freelance photographer died after being allegedly stabbed by his partner, occurred at a condominium unit near Kota Kemuning here on Monday.

Kuala Langat district police chief Superintendent Ahmad Ridwan Mohd Nor@Saleh said that authorities were alerted to the incident at approximately 9.40am following a police report lodged by a doctor attached to Cyberjaya Hospital.

"The victim was brought from a private clinic. The doctor then provided emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the victim, but there was no response.

"The victim was later pronounced dead at 7.25am due to stab wounds on the left wrist and left leg.

"The investigation points towards a potential crime of passion.

"Initial inquiries suggest that jealousy, fuelled by allegations of the victim's unfaithfulness, may have been the motive for the attack," Ridwan said in a statement today.

Ridwan confirmed that the couple had been in a relationship for three years.

"The suspect has been remanded," he added.

Given the early stage of the investigation, authorities are urging the public to refrain from spreading speculation that could compromise the case.

"Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is strongly encouraged to come forward and report it to the nearest police station," Ridwan added.
