Where is Kate Middleton? It has been radio silence since 2024 started

SHAH ALAM - Kate Middleton has not been in the public spotlight since her scheduled abdominal surgery in January.

It was reported that the Princess of Wales was taking time to recover and would not be seen at official events or public engagements until Easter.

According to a statement by Kesington Palace, she has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery and that she was making good progress.

"The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

"The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world," the statement on Jan 19, said.

Although the specific details of the surgery were not disclosed to maintain privacy, reports suggested that it was a planned procedure.

Following the surgery, reports said she has been recovering at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor and currently spending time with Prince William and their three children at Sandringham after she left the hospital on Jan 29.

However, the extended period of silence surrounding Kate's recovery, coupled with the absence of updates from Buckingham Palace regarding her health status, has led to speculations and concerns among the public and royal enthusiasts.

William's recent absence from an event for personal reasons has further fueled speculations, with questions arising about whether it was connected to his wife's health or his father's ongoing treatment for cancer.

He recently attended the third annual Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in Singapore without Middleton. This was the first time she has missed the event.

However, he mentioned about her absence to the media stating that she was assisting their son, Prince George with his first major exams.

William also flew solo for the BAFTA Awards 2024 for the annual honours as Middleton was in the midst of her lengthy recovery.

However, there were ongoing rumours and speculations surrounding why she was not in the public eye.

A social media user on the X platform @MRSFVenom wrote in a post: "You’re telling me that Kate Middleton, the same woman who posed outside the hospital like a freaking supermodel mere hours after giving birth, suddenly requires months of recovery before showing her face? And the British press now magically respects privacy? This feels...sinister."

Others on social media have also posted videos talking about Middleton's silence since the beginning of this year.
