Unlicensed confinement, treatment centre raided
Such centres pose risks in case of negligence.
KLANG - A confinement care and treatment centre operating illegally in Bandar Bukit Raja near was raided by authorities on Monday.
Klang City Council (MBDK) corporate communications director Norfiza Mahfiz said the The 12.45pm raid was carried out based on intelligence and public information.
"Further investigations found that the residence used as a business premise was operating without a valid business license," she said in a statement on Wednesday.
Norfiza said MBDK issued a compound to the employee of the company and it was a serious offence involving babies and mothers.
"This is a serious offense involving babies and mothers giving birth, besides posing risks in case of negligence," she said.
Norfiza the case is being investigated under the Small Industries Act (UUK) 3 (1) of the Health and Beauty Care Center (MPK) 2013.
She added that they also raided an industrial premise operating without a license, causing disturbances on Jalan Haji Abdul Manan here.
"Two compounds under UUK3 of the Small Trades Licensing and Industrial Licensing Act (MPK) 2007 were also issued for that offence.
"Enforcement actions like this will continue, and MBDK will not compromise with those who violate the established regulations," Norfiza said.
