KUALA LUMPUR - It appears the nearly 3,000 Cakra Khan fans would never get enough of their idol at " A Decade with Cakra Khan Live In Kuala Lumpur 2.0” Concert at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) here, last Saturday.

Despite performing for three hours singing soulful ballads with his hoarse voice, the fans were still clamouring for more.

With the accompaniment of the orchestra conducted by music maestro Datuk Ramli MS, the second solo concert of the famous Indonesian singer is even more special and it is no exaggeration to say that there was not a single dull moment felt by the audience.

Starting the concert with a video screening of his concert that took place in the same hall last year, Cakra whose real name is Cakra Konta Paryaman asked for the prayers and blessings of his fans at the end of the video.

"Please pray, ask for His blessing... I'm back in Malaysia," Cakra wrote in the video, which was met with cheers and thunderous applause from his fans.

Performing for the second time in the Plenary Hall, Cakra was seen to be more relaxed and unassuming when interacting with his fans, even his attempt in trying to communicate in Malaysian slang touched the hearts of the audience.

His gesture also caught Ramli's attention when he repeatedly told Cakra to communicate in his mother tongue.

"It is ok, just speak Indonesian, we all understand," teased Ramli and Cakra replied that he was just trying to feel 'closer' to his fans.

Cakra also managed to touch the emotions of everyone when he delivered the song 'Rindu Tak Bersuara' dedicated to his late father, Hermana, who died in 2020, as well as the song 'A Song For Mama' sung by Boys II Men which was specially dedicated to his mother Entik Trisuyatmi who could not attend this concert.

The appearance of a loyal fan, Jaheerah Nadzri who is also a disabled person (OKU) along with her father Nadzri Abdul Majid on stage as a surprise to Cakra and it once again stole the audience's attention when Jaheerah or Eerah also brought a burger as a 'gift' to the beloved singer.

Before Eerah's presence on stage, Cakra took time to share the story of Eerah helping the family earn a living by selling burger together with his father, which went viral on social media through a video.

According to Cakra, Eerah's perseverance has inspired and opened his eyes to become a person who is always grateful.

A video call between the two of them was also shared and Cakra had expressed his desire to invite Eerah to watch his concert, but Eerah turned it down because she was busy with business.

Eerah's appearance clearly surprised and touched Cakra's heart before he sang a special song for the girl titled Jangan Mudah Putus Asa.

In addition, the warmth of the concert continued to be felt with the presence of guest artists Dayang Nurhafizah, Datuk Seri Rossa and Judika who each performed a duet with Cakra and sang two songs.

Cakra also did not miss a duet segment with Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza's niece, Ummi Umairah or Umai with the song Seluruh Cinta which was done spontaneously.

Cakra's vocal prowess, which has its own character, cannot be denied when singing more than 20 songs including medleys and duets with most of the selected songs allowing the audience to 'sing along'.

Among the songs that were sung were Mencari Cinta Sejati, Setelah Kau Tiada, Salah Tapi Baik, Terlanjur Cinta, Hal Hebat, Kepada Hati, Rindu Tak Bersuara, Kekasih Bayangan and Harus Terpisah

Cakra also did not miss the opportunity to sing songs from his latest album for the first time for his fans namely Broken Symphony and Kamu Adalah, in addition to singing hits by Malaysian singers including Malampagi, Mentera Semerah Padi and Khayalan.

The concert was also graced with the presence of Tengku Muda Pahang Tengku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ahmad Shah. Also present were several celebrities from the country including Fazura, Isyariana, Merqeen and Aisha Retno.

It turns out that the three-hour performance of the singer who will celebrate his 32nd birthday on Feb 27 will not be forgotten and will always be 'A Moment To Remember' for those who attended. - BERNAMA
