KUALA LUMPUR - A light aircraft crashed in an oil palm plantation area near Sekolah Kebangsaan Tok Muda, Kapar, on Tuesday, claiming the lives of two individuals.
The aircraft took off from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS), Subang, for recreational flying purposes.

1.28 PM
Departure from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang for recreational flying.
There were two passengers including a pilot on board the aircraft.
1.35 PM
Last contact of the aircraft with air traffic control officers.
No distress call was received.
The Kuala Lumpur Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre (KLARCC) at Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Centre (KLATCC) was immediately activated to identify the aircraft's location.
5.00 PM
Search efforts for the victims involved 800 metres from the crash site.
Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the aircraft was conducting recreational flight training during the incident, while the deceased pilot was identified as Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, 30, and his assistant, Roshaan Singh Raina, 42.
Both victims were found in the cockpit of the aircraft, which was buried approximately two metres underground.
The victims were taken to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for post-mortem examination.
