Batik Air reappoints Chandran Rama Muthy as CEO
Chandran was the first CEO of Batik Air when it was formerly known as Malindo Air.
SHARIFAH SHAHIRAHSHAH ALAM - Batik Air reappoints Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective February 1.
Chandran was the first CEO of Batik Air when it was formerly known as Malindo Air from 2013 to August 2019 before being promoted as Group Strategy Director at Lion Air Group.
“Under Datuk Chandran’s leadership, Batik Air has made rapid progress on the execution of its strategy, while reporting a strong network expansion and improved service performance.
This has created a solid foundation for long-term expansion of Batik Air and sustainable value creation for industry partners, customers and stakeholders,” the Malaysian-based airline said in a statement.
Chandran took over the reins from Captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri while the latter, who had served Batik Air for over four years, had been promoted to Lion Air Group Safety Director.
