Policeman threatens fellow men in blue during detention

SHAH ALAM - A man, believed to have made threats while detained in a drug-related case was arrested after allegedly threatening two other police officers at a police station in Subang Jaya on Monday.

The suspect, who was also a police officer stationed in Shah Alam before this, was arrested in connection with a criminal case before being taken to the police station.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the suspect was remanded for seven days for further investigation under Section 506 of the Penal Code.

"No one, including police officers, is above the law. The investigation is ongoing," he said.

He made these remarks during a press conference at the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters in Shah Alam on Wednesday.

On Monday, the suspect allegedly made criminal threats against two police officers in Subang Jaya at about 5.50am.

The suspect was previously detained for an offence under Section 12 (3) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
