Brothels: Is it just marketing? Rosyam Nor explains
SHAH ALAM - Popular actor Datuk Rosyam Nor explains that the footage circulating about the brothel issue was a promotional video for a podcast programme produced by Suhan Channel.
Rosyam or his real name Mohamed Noor Shamsuddin, 57, said he did not expect the video to go viral.
"There has been a commotion these days about the brothel issue that I supposedly made a statement about.
"Actually, that (viral video) is a promo for my podcast programme on Suhan Channel titled 'Otak Porno' and it is a discussion," he said in a video posted on his Instagram on Tuesday.
Through the viral recording, Rosyam said that prostitution centres need to exist to reduce criminal cases such as rape and sexual harassment involving foreigners.
At the same time, he also apologised for the confusion caused by the short video screening.
"Whatever it is, I apologise first. I didn't think this thing would go viral.
"So, I think it's good for everyone if they have time to go to Suhan Channel and watch the whole recording about the things discussed.
"Thank you for being sensitive to the situation. Anyway, I apologise for all the confusion," he said.
