PUTRAJAYA - A total of 12 police reports have been filed across the country, urging a swift investigation into the orchestrator behind the 'Langkah Dubai' movement aimed at destabilising the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Senior Political Secretary to Anwar, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin said these simultaneous police reports also serve to end speculations that could potentially incite public unrest and impact investor confidence.

"This movement is clearly an irresponsible act that not only disrupts the parliamentary democratic system but is futile as well, given that the Anti-Party Hopping Act, which has been passed, prevents any attempt to change the Prime Minister and government mid-administration," he said when asked by media members in front of the Putrajaya District Police Headquarters today.

Shamsul hinted that more police reports were set to follow, underlining the urgency of thoroughly investigating the Dubai Move or "Langkah Dubai" plot.

The movement, alleged to be a covert attempt to influence a change in government, has raised concerns about its potential impact on the stability of the nation.
