Kelantan MB still clocks in at work despite house being hit by floods

PASIR MAS - Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud still goes to the office for work even though his house in Kampung Meranti, here, is affected by floods since last night.

He shared the matter in a post on his Facebook page, today.

In the post, the Meranti assemblyman said he was forced to use a four-wheel drive to exit his residential area.

He said the water level in his home had risen quite quickly late last night.

"Alhamdulillah, this morning I was still able to carry out my duty at the office to lead the exco meeting," he said.

According to flood reports issued by the National Disaster Command Center (NDCC) and the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) today, as of 6am, Kelantan recorded the highest number of flood victims, with 17,466 people from 5,540 families taking shelter at 89 flood relief centres in eight districts.

The districts affected were Gua Musang, Jeli, Kota Bharu, Kuala Krai, Machang, Pasir Mas, Pasir Puteh and Tanah Merah.
