Amanah Convention: Takfiri, defamation culture among four motions to be debated

KLANG - The 2023 Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) National Convention approves four motions to be debated today.
The four motions consist of the culture of takfiri and defamation, re-demarcation of electoral areas, solidarity with the Palestinian people and urging the government to immediately pass the Social Work Profession Bill.
Its Motions Committee chairman Khalid Abdul Samad said a total of 89 motions were received.
He said out of that number, 21 motions were accepted without discussion, 19 motions were rejected while 40 motions were accepted as recommendations.
The three-day convention starting Friday would be the focus of the election of the Amanah National Leadership Committee for the 2023-2026 session.
Mohamad and his vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof were among those who would vie for the highest party position this election.
