Police tracking down individuals who set vape shop on fire

PORT DICKSON - Police are tracking down a group of individuals suspected of setting fire to a vape shop in Taman Ria here.

Port Dickson District Police Chief Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed said the police found out about two videos which lasted one minute 18 seconds and 15 seconds which were uploaded on X by user @anthraxxx781 at approximately 6.30pm.

"The fire took place last Monday at approximately 9.50pm involving a vape shop lot. The fire was successfully put out by the fire department.

"The estimated total loss is approximately RM50,000. The case is being investigated under Section 436 of the Penal Code for mischief by fire," he said on Wednesday.

He said that the police were actively conducting intelligence in an effort to track down the suspect involved.

"Public members who have information related to the suspect can contact the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Mohamad Danial Abd Rohim on 013-2226085.

"Relevant information can also be channelled to the Port Dickson district police station Operations Room, 06-6462999 or any nearby police station," he said.
