School student sexual harassment case: Police analyse CCTV recordings
SHAH ALAM - The police have obtained closed-circuit television (CCTV) recordings around the location of the incident related to a sexual harassment case involving a female student at a secondary school here today.
Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, stated that the relevant CCTV recordings would be analysed for further investigation.
"Additionally, medical reports have been requested and will be obtained promptly," he said in a statement today.
He mentioned that they have recorded statements involving five individuals related to the incident.
"Among the statements recorded are from the victim, the victim's father, the suspect, and several other witnesses.
"Statements from teachers and other independent witnesses will be taken as soon as possible, considering most of them have returned to their hometowns for the school holidays," he said.
Last Friday, the police received a report from a high school student claiming to be a victim of sexual harassment.
The victim claimed to have received rape threats and was also assaulted by the suspect, who is also a student at the same school.
