KUALA LUMPUR - The defence team on behalf of Sheila Sharon Steven Kumar, or better known as Inspector Sheila is still considering whether to file a representation or not.

Lawyer M Manoharan who represented Inspector Sheila 35, said this when met by the media after the proceedings of the case before Magistrate Illi Marisqa Khalizan.

"We received some documents from the prosecution and the remaining documents will be received at the next mention of the case on Jan 15 next year.

"The case faced by Inspector Sheila is trivial, but we are still studying whether to file a representation or not because the documents are still incomplete," he said.

For the record, Sheila has three criminal charges in the Selayang Magistrate's Court, where the trial of the case is set from Feb 5 to 7 next year.

On June 26, Sheila was charged with threatening a 69-year-old woman with the intention of causing terror to the victim under Section 506 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison, or a fine or both, if convicted.

She was also accused of insulting a 41-year-old man by saying; 'look at your body, you are fat, bald and look like a rhinoceros' and mentioned his rank in an inappropriate way to Lance Corporal Abdul Arif Farhan Abdul Razak with the intention of humiliating him.

The two charges were made under Section 509 of the Penal Code which provides for a maximum sentence of five years in prison or a fine or both, if convicted.
