PUTRAJAYA - The late Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, who was found dead in a creek about 200 metres from his home in Idaman Apartments, Damansara Damai last week, may know the suspect who killed him.

Crime analyst Datuk Shahul Hamid Abdul Rahim said the matter can be seen because there are no traces or strong evidence left behind by the criminals involved.

"The victim perhaps knows (the suspect). The strangulation effect on the victim's body may be the result of a struggle," he said.

He said, however, that the case will take a long time for the authorities to unravel.

"In this case, there are not many clues left by the criminals," he told Sinar on Wednesday.

However, Shahul Hamid said that he could not confirm whether the killing was a planned crime.

"I'm not sure about that because the victim is a special child," he said.

He added that the police must continue to redouble their efforts to bring the criminals to justice.

"The police need to find other sources of evidence, including the surrounding area where the deceased was found," he said.
