SHAH ALAM - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu is confident that all members of Parliament from Bersatu remain committed to the party's struggle.

Based on the mood from the party's most recent Annual General Meeting (PAT), the former Tambun Member of Parliament stated that he believed that all Bersatu representatives were unified and devoted to the party.

"Thus, I believe all Bersatu members of Parliament are still committed to the struggle of the party. I don't think what the Bukit Gantang MP said will occur," he said when contacted by Sinar Premium on Monday.

Faizal said thiswhen commenting on Syed Abu Hussin's latest revelation on Monday that seven to eight more Perikatan Nasional (PN) members of Parliament will publicly announce their support for the Prime Minister's leadership in the near future.

Meanwhile Faizal, who is also the former Perak Menteri Besar claimed that Syed Abu Hussin's actions in supporting the Prime Minister were not done because of the interests of the people, but rather to fulfill personal wishes.

"His (Syed Abu Hussin's) action of expressing support for the Prime Minister shows that he has ignored the support given to him by voters in Bukit Gantang in the 15th General Election (GE15) last year.

"Even though the Bukit Gantang said he did this for the people, the truth is he did it for his own benefit.

"He suddenly wants to make a mess, by saying that there are seven to eight members of the Bersatu Parliament who want to support the Prime Minister in the near future," he said.
