Zayn Rayyan laid to rest after tragic end

PETALING JAYA - A somber atmosphere enveloped the burial of the late Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin at the Islamic Cemetery in Section 9, Kota Damansara, here on Thursday.
The remains of Zayn Rayyan arrived at the cemetery around 6.49pm in the evening after being released from the Sungai Buloh Hospital's Forensic Unit.
Earlier, the body was brought to Masjid Al Muhtadim, Damansara Damai, for funeral prayers.
A drizzle accompanied the burial of Zayn Rayyan, attended by more than 200 family members and acquaintances.
Earlier, the Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that Zayn Rayyan, who was reported missing on Tuesday and found dead last night at 10pm, had been murdered.
This follows the forensic examination revealing injuries to the neck and body of the child consistent with a criminal act.
The police has initiated an investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code that pertains to murder.
