Zayn Rayyan believed to have been murdered - Police

PETALING JAYA - An autistic child who was found dead near a creek near Apartment Idaman, Damansara Damai on Wednesday is believed to have been murdered.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the investigation related to the incident is now being made under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“The post-mortem revealed there were injuries on his neck and body.

“We believe this is foul play and will carry out further investigations after this," he said when contacted by Sinar on Thursday.

He said the police would track down individuals involved in the case.

"So far we are tracking the parties involved and arrests will be made following this incident.

"The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code," he said.

Hussein said the public with information related to the incident should immediately contact the police to help with the investigation.

On Wednesday, the six-year-old victim was found dead at a creek near Apartment Idaman, Damansara Damai at 10pm.

The victim, Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin was found by a group of residents who carried out a search operation.

The victim was previously reported missing in his residential area at noon last Tuesday before being found lying in the river about 200 metres from his residential block on Wednesday night.
