Zayn Rayyan's family waiting for autopsy report

SHAH ALAM - The body of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin 6, is scheduled to be laid to rest at the Kota Damansara's Section 9 Islamic Cemetery before Zohor on Thursday.

His grandfather, Zahari Mohd Reba 55, said however, the funeral arrangements were still pending, as the family needed to wait for the results of the autopsy report.

"We are still waiting for the results from forensics this morning, after the results Zayn will be laid to rest at Section 9 Cemetery in Kota Damansara.

"If it's fast (he will be buried) before Zohor," he said.

Zahari told reporters that the autopsy will be conducted at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhruddin Abdul Hamid was reported to have said that the body of the six-year-old child was found in the river at about 10pm on Wednesday.

According to him, the river is about 100 meters from the area of Zayn Rayyan's house in Idaman Apartment, Damansara Damai.

The child was found immediately after the house-to-house shut down operation launched by the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) starting at 9pm.

Zayn Rayyan was reported missing since 12.30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, before his mother made a public announcement on social media and a police report.
