‘This 'talak crazy' party wins big - Pas
PUTRAJAYA – Despite being labelled as ‘talak crazy’ by Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the fact remains that Pas wins big over Umno in the last Kemaman by-election.
Pas Information Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said Zahid's position as Deputy Prime Minister and Rural and Regional Development Minister failed to attract the votes of the rural community, especially the Malays.
"Let the Umno President say that Pas is ‘talak crazy’, the fact is that this 'talak crazy' won bigger than those who are insulting," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
In fact, Fadhli claimed Zahid's only 'biggest success' was saving himself from being charged with 47 criminal charges.
"Unfortunately, those who are chanting the reform agenda are the ones who are promoting the agenda of saving Ahmad Zahid," he said.
Taking an example from the Ronin 47 movie which tells the story of a samurai group who are willing to sacrifice for self-esteem and dignity, Fadhli said, "'Zahid 47 is the story of a figure who is willing to sink the ark of his own struggle.
“True or not, just wait," he said.
He said, Zahid was a failed captain leading a shipwreck.
"Unfortunately, none of the crew members around him dared to reprimand, even just acting as bootlickers when it is very clear that the ship is sinking little by little," he said.
The Pasir Mas Member of Parliament insisted that the efforts of the ummah unity agenda would never end.
"Pas will continue to try to save Umno leaders and members from sinking either by saving the ship or inviting them to join another ship," he said.
