Village Park Restaurant and Oriental Kopi featured on Nasdaq billboard in New York

From one urban jungle to another! Two popular names in the Malaysian culinary scene Village Park Restaurant and Oriental Kopi has been featured on the Nasdaq billboard in Times Square, New York City.

The two restaurants were among the 53 local food vendors from Southeast Asia chosen to be displayed on the towering LED screen.

It is also a part of a campaign by e-hailing cum food delivery platform Grab.

The campaign aims to witness the region's diverse culinary offerings and the vast selection of food available through the Grab application.

Therefore, Malaysia's Village Park Restaurant and Oriental Kopi were chosen to represent the classic Malaysian dish, which was Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng.

The billboard also featured other Southeast Asian dishes such as Thailand's Siamese boat noodles and mango sticky rice, Singapore's Prata, Indonesia's Paket Nasi Campur Bebek and Martabak Telor Daging Sapi.

Village Park and Oriental Kopi shared their achievement on social media and expressed their gratitude for the support.

"Our sincere appreciation to all who have steadfastly supported us throughout these years.

"In appreciation of your unwavering encouragement, we pledge to maintain the highest standards in both service and culinary excellence, ensuring a continued dedication to excellence as a token of our gratitude to each and every one of you," wrote Village Park in its post.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us along this remarkable journey. Rest assured, we remain committed to delivering the most exquisite culinary experiences, continually innovating, and sharing more moments of delight and surprise.

"We eagerly anticipate the chance to introduce #Malaysian cuisine to the world, bringing local flavours to the global stage," wrote Oriental Kopi.
