The Big Bad Wolf book sale is back and better than ever
Avid readers, rejoice! The much-awaited year-end Big Bad Wolf sale is back and it is bigger and better than last year’s mammoth sale.
This time around, Malaysia’s favourite wolf brings the biggest book sale to Tropicana Gardens Mall this year — a brand new location to make the sale more accessible to readers.
“We’re so excited to show Malaysian readers how we’ve made the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale even bigger and better this time around,” said Big Bad Wolf Books co-founder Andrew Yap.
“We’ve made some exciting changes,as we wanted to seize the opportunity to start afresh and give our loyal fans a revamped, rejuvenated, and renewed Big Bad Wolf,” he said at the press conference.
This will be the first time the sale will take place in a shopping mall, spanning around 100,000 square feer over 3 floors and taking over the entire end of the west walk area of the mall.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be taking place from 7 Dec to the 23rd from 10am to midnight daily — as it continues its mission to build a new generation of readers.
According to Big Bad Wolf co-founder Jacqueline Ng part of Big Bad Wolf’s transformation includes a ‘Book Revolution’.
“This is our effort to rebel against the formidable duo of rising book prices and shrinking bookstores — all the while continuing to be strong advocates of reading habits and increased English literacy.
“With a huge selection of books across every imaginable genre and at unbeatable prices, this edition of the sale is also perfect for the festive season. Whether you are looking to treat yourself or your loved ones, there is sure to be a book or two that will tick all the right boxes,” she said.
Adding a dash of local flair, the book sale will also feature offerings from more than 50 local publishers, as it looks to convert even more non–readers into passionate page-turners.
The book sale will also feature over 2,000 graphic novel titles, more than triple the amount featured in previous editions — reaching out to book lovers of all types and ages.
For movie buffs, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) will be hosting a movie corner at the book sale, with exclusive film-related merchandise; those with a sweet tooth can find lots of goodies from the ongoing Candyland Carnival; and caffeine fiends can get their fix at the Laiyan Land Rover Coffee Truck.
