Former Victoria Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stuns fans with hijab look
Former Victoria Secret angel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stirred up quite the chatter as she gave fans a glimpse of what she would look like as a hijabi in her latest Instagram post.
The British native switched up her usual arsenal of high-fashion ensembles for a modest outfit paired with a hijab to respect the mosque’s etiquette while visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
Whiteley was accompanied by her beau, actor Jason Statham.
“Such an honour to tour the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque whilst we were in AbuDhabi,” she wrote.
The post, which has garnered more than 6,000 comments (the most out of her recent IG posts) were filled with compliments from fans who admired her look while others praised them for respecting Islam.
“MasyaAllah may Allah grant you both hidayah”, wrote @olvaholvah.
Another user @afram_seyfer_mrd wrote: “May God guide your heart to Islam.”
Meanwhile @dayana_barberry said: “It’s very beautiful, thank you for respecting the culture of Islam.”
Her post comes at a time of heightened sensitivity as religion, particularly Islam and geopolitics are at the forefront of discussions due to the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
To this day she has remained silent on her views regarding the genocide in Palestine, unlike some of her Hollywood peers who have been vocal about their opinions.
However, her partner Statham was previously in the spotlight after a video purportedly showing the actor affixing a Palestinian flag to his car went viral. The Italian Job actor also remained silent on the matter.
