Road infrastructure a national priority, not just Sarawak - Nanta
NURUL HUDA HUSAIN, MUHAMMAD SHAMSUL ABD GHANI, DIANA AZIS, FARHANA ABD KADIRSHAH ALAM - Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has pledged to prioritise nationwide road infrastructure development, not just Sarawak.
Despite having served as a minister in previous cabinets, Nanta stressed the significance of his current role.
"There's a misconception that Sarawakian ministers only focus on Sarawak and Sabah.
"As Works Minister, my focus extends beyond Sarawak to encompass the entire country," he said during a Sinar Town Hall session at the Karangkraf Group Auditorium today.
Nanta acknowledged the complex technical challenges faced by the Works Ministry (KKR).
"KKR boasts a team of experienced professionals, and I'm confident in addressing road user concerns," he stated.
Financial constraints, he noted, pose a hurdle to certain road improvement projects.
"Addressing public complaints about potholes and road damage requires technical solutions, and our team is equipped to handle such challenges.
"While financial limitations exist, we're committed to delivering our best," he assured.
