Bersatu continues to prosper with suitable members for leadership roles, says Ketereh MP
SHAH ALAM - Ketereh MP Datuk Khlir Mohd Nor said Bersatu has been consistently performing well as there are many suitable candidates in the party for leadership roles.
Khlir said the party has been actively engaged in discussions and debates on various issues in the Parliament, attributing its success to the dedication of its members.
"Based on my observation I think Bersatu can go far because there are a lot of changes from day to day.
"There are active discussions and also issues are constantly being debated in Parliament by Bersatu MPs," he told Sinar Daily.
When asked about the potential successor to the current leadership, the Ketereh MP refrained from pinpointing specific individuals but asserted that charisma was a crucial factor for the next leader.
"I cannot name who will be the next leader after Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin because everyone has their own ability," he said.
Commenting further, he said there was no reason for Muhyiddin to resign since the latter was still able to bring valuables ideas to the table.
"The president should remain in his position. As long as he can work and contribute to the party, there is no reason for him to resign except if he has other issues like health.
"But so far I can see that he is strong, he brings many ideas to the table and also he contributes a lot to the party and the nation," he said.
He was commenting on Muhyiddin’s botched resignation as Bersatu president which ultimately ended in him deciding to continue his tenure as president upon the conclusion of the party’s annual general meeting on Saturday.
