During the meeting, Abbas briefed Britain's top diplomat on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, placing particular emphasis on the situation in Gaza.
He underscored the urgent necessity for an immediate cessation of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
Abbas condemned the Israeli actions as genocidal, calling for the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Abbas also emphasised the imperative need to halt the attacks by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank.
In addition, he stressed the importance of releasing Palestinian tax funds withheld by the Israeli occupation government.
The Palestinian leader reiterated his unequivocal rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from Gaza or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Abbas rejected any acceptance or tolerance of Israel's plans to separate Gaza from the West Bank and Jerusalem or to reoccupy and annex any part of it.
He emphasised that security and peace can only be achieved through a political solution based on the two-state framework and on the basis of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The solution should lead to the end of the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Abbas urged the British Foreign Secretary to recognise the State of Palestine and to assist in gaining full membership in the United Nations (UN).
Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Malki also called on Cameron to exert diplomatic pressure and take immediate actions to halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.- BERNAMA
