Passenger apologises over TikTok post accusing bus driver of committing lewd act while driving

SHAH ALAM - A passenger who uploaded a video on TikTok wrongly portraying a bus driver engaging in inappropriate behaviour while driving has apologised.

The woman who posted the video under the social media account name @iffahdanishaa expressed regret over her action without verifying the accuracy of the incident.

Acknowledging her mistake, the social media user said she should not have checked whether the incident was true or not.

“I want to apologise for my posting involving two bus drivers from Warisan. I admit my mistake of sharing their image without their permission and should have contacted and lodged a report to their management first.

“The allegation in my post that they were kissing (on the bus) was untrue. It was my mistake for not verifying whether it was true or not.

“I acknowledge that I have caused a lot of misunderstanding and confusion for many parties. I would also like to apologise to the drivers too,” she wrote in a post on TikTok.

She said she had deleted all of her posts regarding the matter and asked those who have shared the video to also take it down from their social media platforms and not continue to circulate it.

Earlier, the passenger who said she was seated in the front row of the bus heading to Larkin, Johor claimed that she caught the bus driver's amorous activity on video and uploaded it to her TikTok account, where the short clip has since gone viral.

She captioned the recording with "Someone, please take action!!”

The video attracted the attention of many, with some sharing their bad experiences with the bus service.

However, a TikTok user by the name of @amirfirdausr claimed that the driver was not kissing anyone but was merely adjusting the radio box behind his seat.

"Can we not spread slander about a person? Me and my wife were sitting directly behind this driver he was not kissing anyone! He was just merely adjusting the radio box located near his seat," he said.
