SHAH ALAM - A group of Israeli Defence Force (IDF) soldiers is facing severe criticism after a TikTok video surfaced in which they engage in a challenge to humiliate Palestinians.

The video went viral, sparking global outrage over its content.

The IDF is being accused of using social media, particularly TikTok, to perpetuate a biased narrative of the conflict, mask human rights violations, and dehumanise Palestinians.

In a video posted on Instagram by journalist and former VICE and Huffington Post columnist @ahmedeldin, IDF soldiers can be seen joking and laughing while simulating the detention and humiliation of Palestinians.

Derogatory language is also used towards the Palestinians in the video.

In the footage, a soldier mocks Palestinians, stating, “Here are all the glorious fighters of Hamas who surrendered. Who is that? Islamic Jihad,” further escalating tensions.

The video has drawn widespread condemnation from Palestinians, human rights organisations, and individuals globally.

Critics characterise the actions of the IDF soldiers as "clear incitement to violence and racism," highlighting the disdain and humiliation directed at Palestinians.
