SHAH ALAM - Israeli and Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot was reportedly planning a Hollywood screening to show footage of attacks by Palestinian Hamas fighters on Israel on October 7.

A 47-minute video, provided by the Israeli Defence Forces, was set to be aired to a select audience of celebrities and influential personalities in Los Angeles and New York this week, US media reported.

Oscar-winning director Guy Nattiv, who spearheaded the initiative, confirmed to i24 that Gadot and her husband, Yaron Varsano, ‘helped make this possible.’

The footage will be aired under the title ‘Bearing Witness to the October 7th Massacre’ and will take place at the Museum of Tolerance by invitation only on Wednesday.

According to reports, the footage, which the IDF claims was mostly filmed by Hamas, apparently includes murder, mass rapes, and beheadings of Jewish people, as well as what happened at the Nova music festival.

The American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League are helping to organise the screenings.

Since the reports surfaced naming Gadot's alleged efforts to screen the film, many have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to criticize Gadot citing her lack of addressing the Palestinian death toll along with calling for the actress to be canceled.

"Gal Gadot, the propaganda girl of Israel-sponsored terrorism. She may have played a superhero, but she's nothing more than a propagandist and a genocide enabler," X user, Devlina Ganguly wrote.

Another X user, Remi Kanazi referred to Gadot's previous viral social media video in which she along with other celebrities sang John Lennon's "Imagine" amid the COVID-19 lockdown.

"Gal Gadot went from "Imagine" to "Genocide" pretty quick," Kanazi wrote on X.

It has been a month since the Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel.

Although Israel claims that more than 1,400 Israelis were killed in the assault and more than 240 were taken hostage, Israel’s retaliation has been fierce, with an air, sea, and ground campaign on Gaza as well as a total siege on the territory in a bid to choke its Hamas fighters.

This has led to a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, with more than 10,000 people killed there, according to the Palestinian health ministry in Ramallah.

Residents of the Gaza Strip, which is home to more than 2 million Palestinians, were trapped, lacking basic supplies and with nowhere to escape Israel’s bombs.
