RM4.6 million worth of casino chips stolen at Genting Highland under police probe
NORAWAZNI YUSOFBENTONG - The police have confirmed receiving a report in regard to a theft of casino chips worth RM4.6 million at the Genting Highlands casino.
Bentong district police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said that the report was made by the casino security management at 6.30pm on Oct 28.
"The casino's security management noticed one of the casinos was broken into at 6.30pm on Saturday last week, and a report was made.
"Following that, the Bentong IPD (District Police Headquarters) Criminal Investigation Division is still carrying out an investigation and tracing the suspects involved," he said in a statement today.
Zaiham said the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
