Three people, including two children seriously injured after their vehicle crashed into bus
RANAU - Three people, including two children, were seriously injured in an accident involving a Perodua Kancil and an express bus in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Nalapak, near here, on Friday.
The incident occurred at about 11 am, with 42 passengers and the bus driver reported to be safe.
Ranau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said that they received a distress call about the incident at 11.29 am.
"The accident involved an express bus carrying 42 passengers and a Perodua Kancil, which was carrying three people.
"Two boys, aged seven and eight, and a female driver in the Perodua Kancil were seriously injured, while the passengers in the express bus were unharmed," he said in a statement on Friday.
He also said that all the injured victims were taken to Ranau Hospital by the public before the fire brigade arrived.
"The operation concluded at 12.10pm after ensuring the incident location was safe," he said.
