Horse killed after being hit by a four-wheel drive in Selayang
AHMAD ISMADI ISMAILGOMBAK - A horse died after being hit by a four-wheel drive (4WD) on Jalan Sungai Tua-Ulu Yam towards Selayang here on Tuesday.
Gombak district acting police chief Supt Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said in the incident at 6.30am, a Ford Ranger driven by a 54-year-old local man was heading from Antara Gapi towards Sri Gombak.
"As the driver arrived at the scene, he realised it was too late that a horse was in his path. He didn't have enough time to avoid the collision.
"As a result, the horse succumbed to its injuries at the scene. The driver and passenger of the vehicle, however, did not suffer any injuries," he said.
He said the case was investigated in accordance with Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (Rule 10 LN 166/59).
